It isย not contagious. The causes includeย immune system dysregulation, where T-cells attack healthy skin cells, andย genetic factors. Common triggers includeย alcohol, certainย medications, andย infections. Diagnosis is through aย physical examย and sometimes aย biopsy. Though incurable, treatments can manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
