Hillary Clinton’s response to one of Donald Trump’s pronouncements during his inaugural address has left many in a state of shock.
In front of prior presidents, cabinet nominees, internet giants, and other guests, the 47th US president took the oath of office today, January 20.
Trump declared that the nation’s “decline” would cease instantly as he ushers in “the golden age of America” during his first speech in the Capitol Rotunda’s hall.
He continued by enumerating his earlier pledges that he now plans to fulfill, such as deploying troops to the US-Mexico border, increasing domestic oil output, and enacting tariffs to “enrich our citizens.”
“Our sovereignty will be reclaimed. Our safety will be restored. The scales of justice will be rebalanced,” Trump continued. “Our top priority will be to create a nation that is proud, prosperous and free.”
The renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America was one of the pledges he discussed.
Because viewers saw Clinton laughing, rather than because of what he said, this became viral very quickly.
“Hillary Clinton p***ing her pants laughing when Trump said he will rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America,” was noted on X.
“Ah, well, Hillary laughing her tits off when Donnie said he’s going to retitle the Gulf of Mexico, made it worth the watch,” a reader remarked.
In a different way: “Hillary Clinton just had the best reaction to Trump’s statement changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.”
“Hillary Clinton laughing hysterically when Trump said he’s renaming the Gulf of Mexico… she is all of us. What a joke,” a third echoed.
The’stoic queen couldn’t keep it together’ let others laugh as Trump enumerated his goals.
“We are all Hillary Clinton right now. Donald Trump literally lives in a universe of his own, thinking he could change the name of the Gulf of Mexico with one stroke of a pen,” another slammed.
Trump called the previous administration in America corrupt during his speech, saying, “We now have a government that cannot manage even a simple crisis at home, while at the same time stumbling into a continuing catalogue of catastrophic events abroad.”
However, by declaring that “all of this will change starting today, and it will change very quickly,” he has positioned himself as uniquely qualified to repair everything.
Everything Trump has pledged to do as 47th US President
Delaying the TikTok ban
In the United States, TikTok went black on January 19 and was relaunched a few hours later with the message, “Welcome back! I appreciate your support and patience. Thanks to President Trump’s efforts, TikTok has returned to the United States.”
Trump is said to want to “make a deal to protect our national security” and will issue an executive order postponing the ban.
Immigration
In a statement during a rally at Madison Square Garden during his presidential race, he said, “On Day 1, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to get the criminals out.“
“I will rescue every city and town that has been invaded and conquered, and we will put these vicious and bloodthirsty criminals in jail, then kick them the hell out of our country as fast as possible.”
Planning over 100 executive orders
According to AP, Trump intends to draft more than 100 executive orders on his first day in office. Without consulting Congress, Trump’s supporters reportedly spent time crafting paperwork on topics including deportation, school gender policy, and vaccination regulations that Trump could sign quickly.
“There will be a substantial number,” said Senator John Hoeven, R-N.D.
Making hidden government files public
At his last rally in Washington, D.C., Trump pledged to make these disclosures in “the coming days” in an effort to improve government transparency, including the assassinations of JFK and Martin Luther King Jr.
“And in the coming days, we are going to make public remaining records relating to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, as well as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”
‘Make Greenland Great Again Act’
In a bid that has not gone down well with Greenlanders, taking to his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said: “For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity.”
“Greenland is an incredible place. The people will benefit tremendously if, and when, it becomes part of our Nation. We will protect it, cherish it, from a very vicious outside World. MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!”
January 6 pardons
Following Trump’s defeat in the 2020 election, there was an uprising in the Capitol on January 6, 2021, which led to several Trump supporters being arrested.
Trump stated in an interview with TIME that he would investigate the rioters’ cases during “the first nine minutes” of his presidency.
In a post shared on his social media channel, Trump said, “I am inclined to pardon many of them. I can’t say for every single one, because a couple of them, probably they got out of control.”
Getting rid of birthright citizenship
As it sounds, Trump once said he intended to abolish birthright citizenship, which grants citizenship to anybody born in the United States. He stated that he wanted to accomplish this by executive order, avoiding Congress once more, “if we can,” while he acknowledged that this might not be feasible because it is spelled out in the constitution.
Reduce federal support for educational institutions teaching “inappropriate” subjects.
Trump promised to “save [the] country from destruction” when he spoke to a crowd in Iowa early last year.
“On day one, I will sign a new executive order to cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity,” he told NPR.
Additionally, Trump declared that he will target educational institutions that expose their students to “any other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content.”
Making the US the ‘crypto capital’
Trump referred to cryptocurrency as a “scam against the dollar” back in 2021. However, four years later, he has changed his mind and declared that the US will become the “crypto capital of the planet.”
‘Mined, minted, and created in the US’ is what Trump said on social media about cryptocurrency.
Before the inauguration, he and his wife Melania both issued their own memecoins, despite earlier predictions from experts that Bitcoin may hit $250,000 this year.
Be a ‘dictator’
Last year, when asked if he was vowing to ‘never abuse authority as vengeance against anybody’, he called himself a ‘dictator’ in an interview with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity.
In response, Trump said, “Except for Day 1. I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill. We’re closing the border and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.”
End Green Deals
Trump has already declared his intention to “terminate the Green New Deal,” which he has referred to as the “Green New Scam.”
Democrats Sen. Ed Markey and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez promoted the Green New Deal, but it was never enacted.
Addressing the policies in a speech in September, Trump said: “To further defeat inflation, my plan will terminate the Green New Deal, which I call the Green New Scam. Greatest scam in history, probably.”
“We [will] rescind all unspent funds under the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act. I’m going to write it out in an executive order. It’s going to end on Day 1.”
Arrange green cards for college graduates
Trump has argued for non-US citizens to be granted green cards to remain in the nation after completing college, even though he has made his position on immigration plain.
During an episode of the ‘All In’ podcast recorded this year, Trump said: “Anybody who graduates from a college, you go in there for two years or four years, if you graduate, or you get a doctorate degree from a college, you should be able to stay in this country […]”
“Somebody graduates at the top of the class, they can’t even make a deal with the company because they don’t think they’re going to be able to stay in the country. That is going to end on Day 1.”
Scrap ‘electric vehicle mandates’
Trump intends to do away with the Biden administration’s “electric vehicle mandate,” which refers to new pollution regulations designed to encourage automakers to produce more electric and lower-emission automobiles.
On his first day, Trump promised to repeal the regulation, but he told podcaster Joe Rogan that it may take “maybe two days, because it’s a little bit busy.”
Fire the man who indicted him
Special Counsel Jack Smith filed two federal cases against Trump over the outcome of the 2020 election, and the future president has no intention of collaborating with him once more.
Trump declared on the Hugh Hewitt show on October 24 that he would fire Smith “within two seconds.”
“He’ll be one of the first things addressed,” he said.
