Watch as the giant wolf sits next to this woman and makes eye contact.

Most wild animals are exciting creatures, and while we can only enjoy their beauty from a safe distance, the opportunity to come closer to them is unreal.

The well-known Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center personnel, an animal refuge outside Colorado Springs, are constantly exposed to wolves. Most importantly, kids interact and even pet and snuggle with them.

Kekoa, meaning “brave one” in Hawaiian, is one of the wolves born and nurtured in the refuge.

Despite his size, Kekoa is a friendly giant that enjoys spending time with humans, particularly a woman named Danielle.

Many people are fascinated by their special bond. It’s strange to watch them play and cuddle, especially since Kekoa is much bigger than Danielle. He weighs 115 pounds and stands nearly 7 feet tall when his front paws are placed on someone’s shoulders!

The video, which has gone viral, shows two buddies playing, and it gets even better when another wolf, Sakara, comes by and requests a cuddle.

“He is very well socialized, meaning he enjoys the company of people because he was raised by people and bottle fed from the time he was born.” This is not synonymous with domesticated or tame. He is still a ‘wild’ animal, and he exhibits it when he is with his sister. A wolf in the wild would not behave in this manner.”

The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center offers educational tours that teach visitors about the role of wolves in the ecosystem. They host a variety of activities such as Paw Day, Meet a Wolf Day, Halw-O-Ween, and many more.

Wild wolves have not been seen in Colorado since the 1940s but may return soon.
