The likelihood of conceiving twins increased 72% between 1980 and 2018, but they are still quite rare. Around 33 out of every 1,000 births are twins.
How probable is the existence of identical twins? There are roughly three or four sets of identical twins for every 1,000 births. Once more, not all that common.
Savannah Combs, a 23-year-old woman, was overjoyed to discover that she was expecting twins. They both had Down syndrome, which was a further rarity she later discovered.

Naturally, the news was upsetting. Savannah and Justin Ackerman were aware that some people would judge them and their children due to their predicament.
Nonetheless, Savannah finds great value in them because of this.
โItโs very rare what they have, but theyโve been my little gems,โ she told News4JAX.

Savannah, a Middleburg, Florida native, posted videos of her postpartum journey on TikTok with her kids Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman, and the videos immediately acquired popularity.
Savannah said in one of her videos that she was advised to abort her children because they wouldnโt survive.
She made the choice to keep them and give them a shot.
โEvery [prenatal] appointment they were alive was a blessing to me,โ Savannah explained.
Her spouse was gone at boot camp when she found out they both had Down syndrome.

When Savannah was admitted to the hospital, she was 29 weeks along with her pregnancy and gave birth to twin daughters. โs so asโssโs so many other things. And so on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on.
The twins had to spend a few weeks in the NICU before going home because they were born two months early.

โTheyโre called mono di twins, meaning that they had their own sacs, but they shared the same placenta, meaning that they were going to be identical,โ she said.
โMo di twins as it is, itโs like very rare. And then you throw Down syndrome on top of it, itโs like one in 2 million.โ
Despite their rare condition, Savannah said they are just like any other child.

โThey have feelings. They have a beating heart. They know how to talk. They know how to do things you do. They will get there,โ she said.
โLike I said, it may be a step behind but theyโre going to do it. Iโve learned these kids are feisty little things and happy little things.โ
As each child continues to meet their milestones, Savannah shares their adorable updates on TikTok.
โIโm going to let them know that theyโre just like us and theyโre going to get there as long as they put their minds to it.โ

Still, some people feel the need to criticize Savannah and her family. As a result, the young mom has had to answer some real insensitive users on social media.
โI wouldnโt want those babies; if mine came out like that, they would be straight up for adoption,โ one person wrote to the mother.
But Savannah had the perfect answer, which she shared on Facebook.
โI said, good thing they werenโt born to you and were born to me. God knew what he was doing by giving these babies to the right parents who would love them regardless.โ
Gorgeous girls. Anyone who asserts the contrary is just being cruel. These people are the most priceless and kind ones there are! Please spread the word about this touching tale on Facebook.
