Bongino Praised For Early Moves As FBI Deputy Director

Dan Bongino wasted no time making an impact in his new role as Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, reports said on Monday.

Soon after being sworn in, Bongino honored fallen FBI agents by visiting the agencyโ€™s Wall of Honor, a gesture that quickly earned widespread praise from his supporters.

The FBIโ€™s official account shared the moment on social media, noting: โ€œAfter his swearing-in ceremony as FBI Deputy Director, Dan Bongino paid his respects at the Wall of Honor, honoring the brave members of the #FBI who made the ultimate sacrifice and reflecting on the legacy of those who paved the way in the pursuit of justice and security.โ€

Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and NYPD officer, wasย appointedย to the position last month by President Donald Trump, signaling a significant shift in leadership within the bureau.

Trump posted the announcement on his Truth Socialย account: โ€œGreat news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel. Dan has a Masters Degree in Psychology from C.U.N.Y., and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member of the New York Police Department (New Yorkโ€™s Finest!), a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve. Working with our great new United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly. Congratulations Dan!โ€

Later, Trumpย added: โ€œAnother aspect of the life of Dan Bongino that I think is very important. He has a great wife, Paula, and two wonderful daughters who truly love their dad. What an incredible job Dan will do!!!โ€

On X, Bongino responded, simplyย writing,ย โ€œThank you Mr. President, Attorney General Bondi, and Director Patel.โ€

In the days before Trumpโ€™s announcement โ€” and likely when Bongino had already been approached about the FBI deputy directorship โ€” the former Secret Service agentย called outย Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on his popular podcast.

โ€œWhy is Adam Schiff so worried? I strongly encourage you to go back and take another look today at the Russia collusion hoax,โ€ Bongino began during a segment.

After noting that the story is now several years old, Bongino added: โ€œIโ€™m gonna be straight with you. I donโ€™t wanna move on.โ€

โ€œWe had the FBI in conjunction with the Department of Justice, officials in Congress, foreign governments and intel people fabricate a story, invent a story that could have caused and done serious long-term harm to international relations with a nuclear-powered foe,โ€ he added. โ€œItโ€™s kind of a big freakinโ€™ deal.โ€

โ€œListen to me โ€” this is gonna be very important in the coming days,โ€ he went on, perhaps dropping a hint about his pending appointment to the FBI.

โ€œIโ€™m not letting this go. I wanna find out what happened because it can never happen again. Not to a Democrat. Not a Republican. Not to a Libertarian. Not to any United States citizen,โ€ Bongino said.

โ€œYou do not get to alter or try to change the course of electoral politics by fabricating a story hijacking the justice system then to give the patina of truth to a fake story,โ€ he continued. โ€œYou donโ€™t get to do that.โ€

โ€œWhy do I bring that up now? Because who was the ringmaster of that circus? Yes, Adam Schiff, and no, Iโ€™m not letting it go,โ€ he added.
